INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Here For You
Individual psychotherapy is a collaborative relationship between therapist and client, to explore life's challenges and work together to agree on a treatment plan that aligns with your values and life story.
GROUP THERAPY
We're in this together
Groups in session: -Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Groups (DBT). In DBT you will learn four columns of skills: 1) Mindfulness, 2) Distress Tolerance, 3) Emotion Regulation, and 4) Interpersonal Effectiveness. When these skills are practiced and blended skillfully, you will have more control over your responses to others than you ever thought possible. This is a Skills Based group that is taught in a lecture format with weekly assigned homework and the expectation of each member's participation by sharing homework in group and asking questions when needed. This is not a process group which means when sharing homework, it's done in a general way (sticking to the facts) as to not get too deep into the story and instead focuses on the behavior change you are working on. I am currently creating a wait list with the next group set for April 2024. This group will be held virtually through 2024 with the hope of switching to in-person with more interest. Groups in the planning stages: -Transitional Age Youth Group - "Adulting." I have found that transitional age youth (TAY) ages 18 - 25, learn best from interacting with each other, which is supported by research around process groups for young adults. I am currently developing a process group specifically for TAY to create a safe space to try out new skills developed in individual therapy and get and give supportive feedback from peers, in a nonjudgemental therapeutic environment. Ask me about it... -Women's Group Seeking support from other women in an emotional safe therapuetic environment is a healthy way to navigate the ups and downs of life while feeling less alone in the process. Depression and anxiety are the natural result of the high demands on our time and societal expectations to do it all. If you are interested in learning more about this group, ask me about it during your free consultation. Plans for in-person groups are in progress.
GENDER THERAPIST
A Safe Space for you
Gender Affirming Therapy - This is a safe space to explore gender identity and find ways to cope with gender dysphoria or euphoria before, during, and after your gender affirming health care decisions. I have been providing therapy in the queer community for the past eight years. I came to be passionate about supporting and uplifting transgender and non-binary identifying people when my son came out and transitioned. I dedicated a large portion of my professional practice training to healthcare needs and resources in order to be a compassionate and competent therapeutic partner/advocate for this often misrepresented community.
